What we do

Diligent Finance is a financial simulation tool that models your financial life. All calculations run in your browser. We store your project data so you can access it later.

Data we collect

• Project data — the financial information you enter (income, expenses, loans, etc.). This is stored on our servers so your project persists between visits.
• Google account email — only if you choose to sign in with Google, so you can access your data from any device. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google data.
• Basic usage data — anonymous analytics (page views, errors) to help us improve the service.

Data we do not collect

• We do not collect your real name, address, or phone number.
• We do not collect bank account numbers, sort codes, or any real financial account credentials.
• We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties.

How your data is stored

Your data is stored in Microsoft Azure data centres in the United Kingdom. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is restricted to the application via managed identity credentials.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as it is needed, then delete it. Session analytics, feedback, and error logs are kept for at most 12 months. Your project is kept while you are using it; if you sign in with Google or save a recovery key, it is kept until you delete it. An anonymous project left unused for a long time is deleted, because once your browser data is cleared it can no longer be reached. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics are kept indefinitely.

Anonymous use

You can use Diligent Finance without signing in. An anonymous identifier is stored in your browser's local storage. If you clear your browser data, access to your anonymous project is lost. An anonymous project that is left unused for a long time is deleted; sign in with Google or save a recovery key to keep it.

Your rights

You can delete your data at any time by deleting your workspace within the application. If you need assistance, contact us at the email below.
